Flowers were my first visual language, but they are only the beginning. Through movement, light, and time, I photograph the natural world, landscape and the unexpected details that ask me to stop and look. My work explores beauty, memory, resilience and transformation.

Joyce Bell is a Tiburon -based fine art photographer whose creative practice has moved through painting, sculptural jewelry, photography, and poetry. Flowers have remained a continuous language throughout her work.
Using long exposures and intentional camera movement, Bell transforms botanical subjects into gestures of light, color, and motion. Her broader photographic work explores landscape, wildlife, memory, identity, and renewal, increasingly bringing image and poetry together.
Her work has been exhibited throughout Northern California and has received numerous awards, including two Scholastic Gold Key Awards and three Belvedere Foundation photography Awards.
